IV-CURVES & MPP TRACKING

To allow for high quality PV measurements a precise and reliable electrical metrology system is mandatory. Within PV-Blocks this technology has been designed from the ground up. High resolution measurement and control is realized by the IV/MPP blocks. Simply connect these blocks to the IV-Load 600 and any PV-module is ready to be measured.

The IV-Load 600 is a controllable resistive load that can dissipate over 600W of electrical power. It is used for IV curve tracing and to perform continuous maximum power point(mpp) tracking in all weather conditions. As the mpp tracking algorithm can be defined by the user, you are no longer depending on black-box algorithms used in any third party inverter.

If you do not want to throw away the generated energy you can use our PV-Switch in stead of the IV-Load 600. The PV-Switch dumps the generated energy into a micro inverter. You loose control over the mpp algorithm, but can still measure IV-curves and at the same time save the planet.
